Overview & Reviews
The Grand Prix underwent a redesign for 2004, but those familiar with the big sedan will find its blend of performance and comfort hasn't changed much.
- Strong supercharged V6, nimble handling, attractive gauges, easy-to-use controls, big trunk, fold-flat front-passenger seat.
- Build and materials quality still needs work, tight backseat, noisy engine, not enough storage or cupholders, no auto climate control.

The muscle car lives....but its GM - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By GhostOfDeLorean - August 25 - 3:50 pmBought the car because of the engine and cockpit interior. Yes, its dated, but the 3800 will run forever. I have the GTP Comp/G and its a head turner! Fast off the line. Have to watch over torquing into curves. TapShift is ok, but could live without. Has every option. Too bad it does not come with heated mirrors. The bad: N85 five-spoke chrome alloy wheels are crap. Nice looking but the chrome is bubbling off after three years and breaking the seal. GM will only supply reconditioned rims. Will never buy a new GM product again.

Too New To Rate But Liking So Far!! - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By RMCLECMBS - August 3 - 10:00 amI am not a GM fan but bought this car for my wife who absolutley loves her new GT2 with leather and sunroof. Fit an finish is excellent. New styling is well done. Re-do from previous model hits the mark. Avoid the cloth interior. Seats are very firm and take some adjusting to get used to but lateral support is excellent. The 90 degree openings rear doors and forward folding front passenger seat are well engineeered and practical. Ample interior room and spacious trunk. Tight and quiet - firm handling.

04 GP GT2 - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By blue1 - June 9 - 2:00 amI previously owned a 99 GP and liked it so much I wanted another one. I like the idea of having a warranty. I wasnt crazy about having 4 doors, but Im almost over that.

Love my Grand Prix - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By AJCasares - May 28 - 10:00 amI love the Sporty look and the interior. The engine is a bit too noisy. The drive is very smooth and acceleration is very good. The information center is very helpful and the red dashboard is wonderful.

2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp G - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By mjs - April 21 - 2:00 amExcellent car. A tremendous number of features (tap shift, stability control, traction control, head up display) at a very reasonable cost.

Lauras review - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By Laura - March 26 - 11:23 pmNeeds cup holders in the back seat. also I have noticed that when you turn the steering column pops. I only had 25,000. miles on the car when this happened. the dealership said there were a lot of problems with this in a lot of there Pontiac made cars. Other than that I love my car, its very sporty but I can still carry my kids with me.

Nice Car - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By bean - March 21 - 10:00 amMy last vehicle was a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was tired of the ride and the poor mileage. The Grand Prix has been a nice surprise so far. I get lots of comments on how sharp the car looks (red Metallic exterior). The ride is smooth and the mileage accepable (24mpg city/country). Im anxious to see how the car responds in the snow.
